3 Things Your Wedding Day Timeline is Missing

Wedding day timelines can be a lot, there’s so many moving pieces to line up. Here’s three important pieces to your timeline that often get missed, but shouldn’t! I always set up a call or meeting with my brides before their wedding to make sure the wedding day timeline is as seamless as possible, allowing the day to run smoothly.

3 Things your wedding day timeline is missing.

  1. Time Alone.
This is a must. In my opinion anyways! Your wedding day truly does go by so fast, time alone together with your spouse(or soon to be!) is so important to keep your connection. I often recommend taking 10 minutes right after the ceremony to just be. Let it soak in that you’re MARRIED!
  2. Breath Time.
Remember how I said your day goes by quick? Breath time helps things slow down and gives buffer room if anything should run late. Usually I always build in at least 30 minutes before the ceremony for down time. This is also a great time to touch up hair and makeup! I also implement “invisible breathers” in the timeline. Invisible breathers are when I mark on the timeline more time than what I need for a specific thing to give us extra buffer time, either for more photos if we’re on schedule or catch up time if we’re running late!
  3. Marriage License Signing.
This one often gets overlooked. You don’t want to forget it!! Typically right after the ceremony is a great time for this, choose a gathering spot for your witnesses right after the ceremony and meet there to get this done.

And there you have it! 3 Things your wedding day timeline won’t be missing since you are now aware of them. Check out other posts HERE that will help you as you plan your wedding!

Hi, I'm Amanda!

You've found one of my favorite parts of my website! The blog is where I get to share the beautiful sessions and clients that I am blessed to work with. While not every session may be able to make it to the blog, I try to add as many as I can! You can even find some old ones from years ago if you look hard enough!
